Ongoing Training, Learning Promotes Career Growth, Optimal Solutions for Partners

At FEI Systems, our team of professionals provides technical expertise that contributes to the coordination and delivery of barrier-free, person-centered health and human services. Our solutions promote optimal health and well-being for all people.

Our diverse team of web developers, business analysts, program managers, business development executives, etc. has a distinctive blend of health information technology (IT) and public health experience and expertise. Many on our team have been in the offices and positions of the clients we serve, faced with the same challenges and hurdles to providing quality care to vulnerable members of their communities. As such, we have successfully implemented projects and services that create stronger connections between communities, providers, and department staff members across the continuum of care.

We are successful, and maintain high client retention and implementation rates, because our team is always learning, staying sharp in their skills, and ready to adjust to the changing business landscape. We maintain a multitiered, continuous improvement culture embodied by industry quality frameworks such as Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®), as well as the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) Guide.

Learning Tools and Knowledge Transfers

Our proactive recruiting and retention program provides a rich pool of resources for staffing current and future projects feed a work environment dedicated to career growth, with a focus on employee performance and professional training. As a result, we boast an industry leading retention rate for all line employees and almost 100 percent retention for management staff.

FEI has leveraged multiple tools to maintain and further develop our team’s skills, including PluralSight and LinkedIn Learning. FEI recently procured the streamlined, comprehensive learning management system (LMS), FEI Learning, in our software solutions for the administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and delivery of online courses and tutorials to our employees. This innovative tool supports all aspects of the learning process for our employees, and will serve as a constant resource for continued education and learning.

We believe in fostering an environment where employees feel empowered to continue to grow, learn and advance their careers. That is why we offer competitive professional training opportunities that are evidenced by a considerable number of tenured staff who have grown through promotions, certifications, and learning opportunities. Product demos, brown bag sessions, team knowledge transfers, lunch-and-learn meetings, and training sessions regarding application developer or quality assurance (QA)-specific tools, processes, best practices, and techniques are recorded and organized in FEI’s Microsoft Stream database to allow for continued development of the staff at their convenience.

At FEI, we are proud to offer government agencies and key decision-makers innovative, nimble, and scalable IT solutions to carry out mission-critical work. We also design, develop, implement, and configure robust case management and data management systems for state and county customers across an array of social service arenas, including long-term services and supports (LTSS), behavioral health, substance abuse, child and family services, courts, and prevention. Once again this summer, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (Fri, May 30 to Fri, Aug. 29) you may shift up to four work hours into the early part of the week to get a jump start on the weekends and close your virtual office up to four hours early on Fridays. We encourage you to coordinate with your manager and your teams to take advantage of the summer schedule. We know you’re all responsible professionals, always focused on the needs of our clients and the business. We trust you’ll consider the potential for urgent matters that may arise and ensure we remain available and responsive to clients, be flexible in managing appropriate rotations when coverage is necessary and properly notify your clients and team members when you will be away. So don’t be afraid to take us up on this offer and head out early when you can.

Just a couple of things to remember as you record your time:

  • If your vacation or other time off plans include a Friday, the Flexible Friday benefit will not apply during that stretch of time (you will need to enter a full day of ProLeave for each day you are out, including the Friday). In other words, you must enter working time in the days immediately prior to the Friday to use the flex benefit.
  • When entering time, your pay period total hours will not necessarily align with the pay period required minimum hours (it could be fewer or more depending on the calendar days in the period). Don’t worry about that. Just make certain you are working and recording at least 40 hours per week.

We hope this bright perk helps you unwind, recharge and get your fair share of Vitamin D. If you have any questions, please send them to humanresources@feisystems.com.
